Dissolving of Telco Community Volunteers Corporation

The April 22, 2020 special meeting to voluntarily dissolve the corporation has been delayed until October 21, 2020 due to the Covid-19 Virus.

The special meeting of the members of the Telco Community Volunteers will be held on October 21, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. to vote to voluntarily dissolve the corporation effective December 31 2020. This meeting is a requirement of the Canada Not-For-Profit Corporation Act.

Each paid member of Telco Community Volunteers has received individual notification either by e-mail or Canada Post concerning the meeting and the closure of the Telco Community Volunteer Corporation.

This does not mean the individual clubs will close. It means that the subsidy monies will no longer be available. Each club will make their own decision to continue or not.

Heart Pillows in the UHN News

Have you wondered what happens to the heart pillows that the club makes? The University Health Network (encompassing Toronto General and other hospitals) published a news release, Heart-shaped pillows cushion recovery for cardiac patients, about the pillows and how they are so helpful to patients during recovery at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre.
